On August 29th to 31st, CenBRAIN Neurotech Center of Excellence members organized their annual retreat in the Thousand Islands, 2 hours driving from Hangzhou. This retreat is a workshop where we met with our collaborators from various institutions to summarize the annual overall contributions. Meanwhile, professors and students from our cooperation labs and institutes were all presented. The workshop included 7 technical sessions spread over three Days. At the opening ceremony, professor Sawan summarized the achievements: (1) CenBRAIN Neurotech was upgraded to the center of excellence; (2) The publications (journals, conference papers, and patents) and the number of collaborators have increased exponentially from 2019, the year CenBRAIN was founded; (3) The Zhejiang Key R&D program and the Zhejiang Innovation Team programs successfully passed the mid-term assessments. CenBRAIN Neurotech members also organized a brainstorming session presenting the annual research achievements and concluded actions our group should take to increase the impact of our contributions. During the meeting, all the members presented their aims for various projects and summarized the progress and contributions they had achieved. During the meeting, 4 staff members and 4 PhD students received awards for their achievements and other contributions and service to CenBRAIN Neurotech community. After the meeting, CenBRAIN Neurotech group enjoyed the retreat with the splendid scenery of the Thousand Islands. We look forward to more fruitful achievements in the coming year.
