Biography

Wenyao Zheng got her bachelor’s degree in the Department of Computer Science, majoring in Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Manchester (Manchester, U.K.) in 2020. Then, she received her Master of Statistics at the National University of Singapore (Singapore) in 2021. She joined the Center of Excellence in Biomedical Research on Advanced Integrated-on-chips Neurotechnologies (CenBRAIN Neurotech) in August 2021, focusing on stroke risk prediction and physiological signal processing. 

Research Interests and Project 

Wenyao Zheng is interested in machine-learning-based stroke risk analysis and prediction using electronic health records (EHRs) and EEG-fNIRS signals. She is working on using longitudinal data for stroke risk prediction to help stroke prevention and rationally allocate medical resources. She is also working on applying fNIRS neuroimaging technology to brain diseases research. The collected brain signals assist to providing suggestions for post-stroke rehabilitation, and addicted detection and treatment.
