Yuqiao Zheng got her B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China in June 2017, and she received her M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong, China in November 2019. She joined the Center of Excellence in Biomedical Research on Advanced Integrated-on-chips Neurotechnologies (CenBRAIN Neurotech), School of Engineering, Westlake University, Hangzhou, China in September 2021, where she is now pursing her Ph.D. degree and focusing on biosensors design and implementation.
Yuqiao Zheng is interested in optical biosensors and their applications, including optical biosensor-based sensitive detection of multi-virus, developing solutions and studying new diagnostic applications of optical biosensors. She is interested in high-throughput Fully Automatic Biosensing Platform for Efficient COVID-19 Detection. This system is of high sensitivity, specificity and suitable for onsite detection of SARS-CoV-2. She is also focusing on optimizing the optical performance of biochips, and on building portable SARS-CoV-2 detection system, which is expected to be applied for other species of human coronavirus detection and epidemic control. Currently, Yuqiao Zheng is working on developing and optimizing the optical biosensing devices.
