Ying Tao received her B.S. degree from Zhejiang University of Technology. She got a scholarship to pursue her master’s degree in pharmacy in Zhejiang University of Technology. During her master’s study, she joined the Center of Excellence in Biomedical Research on Advanced Integrated-on-chips Neurotechnologies (CenBRAIN Neurotech) in Westlake University, as visiting student, where she is presently one of the Center research assistants.

Ying Tao has experience in organic structure analysis by nuclear high performance liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, and infrared spectroscopy. Her research interests is improving immunoassay for small molecules detection, especially the label-free assay. She is applying the immunoassay to the optical/electrical fiber and converting the chemical signals to digital signals. Ying Tao has improved the bio-layer interferometry assay for carbamazepine and COVID-19 protein detection in CenBRAIN Neurotech.
