Wenjie Ren obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Henan University of Medicine and a Master's degree in Basic Medicine from Tongji University. His main research focuses on the brain and spinal cord, utilizing electrophysiological techniques to study neural circuits. From February 2025, he joined the Westlake Institute for Optoelectronics as an Assistant Engineer.
Wenjie is primarily responsible for speech decoding and motor decoding projects, including writing literature reviews, creating figures, training pigs for locomotion, collecting and analyzing behavioral videos, and recording neural signals.
