CenBRAIN Neurotech Center of Excellence Shines at 2024 ICAC Workshop in Shanghai

March 21, 2024

On March 19th, the 2024 workshop on IC Advances in China (ICAC 2024) took place in Shanghai. Dr. Jie Yang, Research Associate Professor at CenBRAIN Neurotech Center of Excellence, along with CenBRAIN Neurotech’s three Ph.D. students - Chaoming Fang, Jinbo Chen, and Hui Wu, were invited to share achievements and attend the workshop.

The ICAC Workshop is committed to establishing a premier platform for technical exchange among academic and industrial colleagues in China's integrated circuit design community. It fosters an open atmosphere for technical discussions, inspires new ideas and directions, and promotes the vibrant development of China's IC industry.

Dr. Yang, with years of dedication to research in neuromorphic architecture and brain-machine interface chips, expressed his pride in the accomplishments of our center as it celebrates its fifth anniversary. He highlighted our significant achievements in these fields, which have led to presentations at prestigious international chip design conferences such as IEEE CICC and A-SSCC, which have earned the honor of participating in this national ICAC 2024. However, he emphasized that the journey of research is long and arduous, we must continue to strive for excellence.

For Chaoming Fang, this was his second time representing CenBRAIN Neurotech at the ICAC student poster exhibition. He noted the improvements in his work and research outputs compared to last year. Chaoming expressed his satisfaction with the opportunity to exchange ideas with outstanding peers from universities across the country during this poster show.

Jinbo Chen and Hui Wu participated in this year poster show for the first time. It's a great experience giving them a deeper understanding of what they've done in the past. Jinbo expressed his gratitude for the chance to present his poster in person, enabling fruitful discussions with scholars and skill-sharing sessions. Hui said, he hopes to have more opportunities in the future to interact with talented peers of similar age in the field as well as top experts from academia and industry.
